The University of Toledo is one of 14 state universities in Ohio. We were established in 1872 and became a member of the state university system in 1967. The University of Toledo and the Medical University of Ohio merged July 2006 to form the third-largest public university operating budget in the state. The University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission.
We offer more than 300 undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.

Health Science Campus is home to graduate health programs and the UT Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center, offering innovative treatments for strokes and cancer found nowhere else in the state. The UT Medical Center also features the new $5.8-million Orthopaedics Center.
At UT, we have researchers working at all levels — from undergraduates to faculty — toward our mission of improving the human condition. In fact, their combined, efforts have led to 125 patents and nearly $60 million in funding and grants. The Mission of the Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales (ESSPS) is to provide world-class educational programs in sales, sales leadership, to enhance the world of business practice related to professional sales and to become a recognized global leader in sales learning, discovery and engagement.
