I rose from humble origins with toxic family background. When I was 18 years old, I dropped out of college to support my parents and joined the Indian Air Force. I had to struggle hard to earn my livelihood. I sacrificed my personal time, invested a portion of my monthly salary and resources, and acquired several qualifications including DME, BSc, MA, MBA, PGDCLL, and PGDBM. I earned my Ph.D. in 2011. I understand the pain of life. I am a self-made man. I have come to know that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. ―Professor M.S. Rao
I was born in a toxic family and grew up in a toxic environment. I underwent several challenges and betrayals by my siblings and rogue relatives. I had small highs and big lows in my life. Right from my childhood, I am passionate about education and learning. I developed an interest in health when I was 15 years old because I had a dream of joining the Indian Air Force and serving my nation. I was lean built and short in height with an asthma problem. I started going to the gym to acquire physical fitness to serve my nation. I am a fitness freak and a lifelong learner.
I have overcome several challenges in my life because of my good health. I learned several ways of overcoming failures because I learned several lessons in my life. I have become a professor, author of over 50 books, keynote speaker, and philosopher.
I still have several financial challenges but I keep going forward because of my good health and continuous learning. I acquired six qualifications while serving in the Indian Air Force by sacrificing my personal time. I enjoy both the process and the goals. I enjoy the journey of life without losing my focus on my destination.
When you learn constantly, you remain relevant and meaningful. You stay ahead of others. You remain active mentally. When you hit the gym and maintain health, you remain agile and fight against all odds. You remain independent and confident.
Before the aircraft takes off, it is checked whether it is airborne worthy or not. Similarly, when you want to accomplish your dreams, you must care for your health. You cannot achieve your goals when you are ill because you cannot focus. So you must emphasize health first to acquire education and achieve wealth to lead a meaningful and mindful life.
Exercise and temperance will preserve something of our youthful vigor, even into old age. ―Cicero
Complement your physical exercises with your mental exercises. Socialize with others. Network with like-minded people. Aging is inevitable. So age gracefully. Remember, exercising adds life to your years instead of adding years to your life. To summarize, challenge the challenges to touch your tipping point. Update yourself to avoid getting outdated. To conclude, be active mentally and be agile physically to overcome challenges and achieve amazing success in your life.
As long as you love and learn, you are young. The day you stop loving and learning, you become old. So, stay young forever by learning and loving others. ―Professor M.S. Rao
