In the first quarter of this year, we added some incredible new features for Pipeliner CRM. Our motivation is simply to prepare companies to survive and succeed in the next years to come because we know that in the near future there will be incredible challenges for organizations. The digital transformation, now upon us, is unstoppable.
In our last article, we discussed the difference between effectiveness and efficiency. As we move forward in our discussion of automation, the next vital principle that we must fully understand is that automation places data right at the core of every business process–and that data must be accurate.
Business Data Requirements
We can immediately see that because of the constant changes in today’s business world, companies have a constant need for immediate delivery of data. Without data, it is impossible to make decisions.
The data itself is important—but unless it is rendered understandable it is not useful. Automation features and functions (such as ours) provide the expertise to organize and interpret data so that it can be used. This expertise brings trust from companies.
When data is incorrect, wrong decisions are made. Without some kind of automation assistance, it is difficult to interpret data and make decisions simply because there are too many data points to assimilate and understand. You, therefore, need the best tools available, so that decisions—especially leadership decisions—can be accurately made.
Data Input
A clear differentiator for Pipeliner is that we provide a very usable interface, making data input as easy as possible. Such interfaces make for accurate data input, which is also crucially important in rendering correct data. Data sloppily or wrongly input means incorrect data provided and relied upon.
With covid-19, we have an incredible first-hand example of incorrect data and its use. The data being provided on covid-19 is clearly not correct when someone’s cause of death is, for example, an auto accident—but because they were infected with covid-19 at the time, their cause of death is officially attributed to covid-19. We now have an enormous number of covid-19-attributed deaths that no one can trust anymore.
Another wrong use of data when it comes to covid-19 is that the figures reported are cumulative. This is very misleading when we’re trying to understand numbers and percentages as they apply at the present time.
Both of these are horrendous examples of wrong data in applications.
On a smaller scale, if inaccurate data is entered, then company management relies on that data and steers the company in the wrong direction.
The System Makes the Difference
As we covered in the last chapter, productivity comes from efficiency. Efficiency comes about from a system being used. Why do users use a system without being forced to do so? Because they like it. When you like using something, you use it easily and become efficient. That, of course, leads to productivity.
With Pipeliner, this brings accurate data analytics to a company’s board, to managers, and to the CEO. When they can see the correct data points and immediately understand them, correct decisions are made.
As we said at the beginning, data is at the core of every business process. In order for that to happen, that data must be visualized so that it can be completely understood. With Pipeliner’s core technologies, we provide complete visualization, which makes data analytics incredibly easy and accurate.
