Entrepreneurship Challenges

Rising to the Challenge

Being a successful entrepreneur means always rising to the challenge. Pretty much anyone can just start a business, but if they don’t rise to the challenge of leadership and do certain things to grow as individuals, they will never find success in their entrepreneurial ventures. One of the ways to overcome some of the challenges that starting and running a business presents is to grow as an individual, and create goals that move the focus beyond ourselves. It’s a journey of learning how to do things objectively and removing yourself from the equation in order to focus on the overall goal and vision of the company. It’s easy to become paralyzed if you focus only on yourself. Be honest with yourself and with the challenges ahead of you. This allows you to commit to reality, instead of committing to an idealized version of what will happen and then floundering when the real challenge hits.

Looking to Wisdom

Being an entrepreneur means always learning. If you want to learn more about yourself and grow in leadership, get married. If you want to grow even more, have kids. If you want to grow even more then that, you should start a business and have employees. There are so many things to learn about being an entrepreneur and a leader, and each experience that happens and the relationship that gets created along the way creates personal changes that are important for continued growth. Thre is wisdom in looking and evaluating yourself, and being able to connect with other people and have the wisdom of four eyes instead of just your own two eyes on a situation. Look to inner wisdom to help you grow as an individual, and look to the wisdom in others to help you gain perspective.

What Motivates You?

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or just an employee, it’s so important to ask yourself what is motivating you to do what you’re doing. Especially if you’re starting a business, you have to go down a couple of levels in order to find what really motivates you in order to make it through the tough times your business will throw at you. It’s almost impossible to surf those waves unless you know what’s driving you in the first place. When you get up in the morning, think about the things that motivate you, and the goals that you have for the future and the vision of what you’d like your life to look like. The difficult things that happen throughout the day become worthy struggles instead of meaningless suffering when you have the end goal in mind.
